Emma Jane Sparks Brumback, age 88 of Osgood, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital, Batesville, IN. She was born January 6, 1925 in Irvine, KY. Her parents were Elijah Alden & Martha Ann Brinegar Sparks. She married Omar Gilman Brumback July 31, 1943 in College Hill, KY. Omar still survives at home.
Emma had worked for US Shoe in Osgood & later for Randalls of Greensburg, IN where she retired after approximately 13 years. She & her husband had enjoyed fishing & camping for many years. She also loved her quilting. Emma will be sadly missed by her family & friends.
Survivors: Husband: Omar Gilman Brumback of Osgood. Sons: Jerry Lee Brumback of Whetstone, AZ, James Alden & wife Joy Brumback of Holton, IN.
Daughter: Betty Mae & husband Danny Lee Mains of Versailles, IN.
Grandchildren: 7, Great Grandchildren: 16, Great Great grandchild: 1.
One grandchild preceded her in death. Also, 3 brothers; Estill, Luscille & Ed Sparks along with 2 sisters; Dixie Hardy & Amanda Horn.
