Emma Weaver, age 92, passed away on November 9, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard Weaver, devoted mother of Lynn, Bonnie, Michael and Chris Pappas and Christine Bartholomew, dear grandmother of 14, great grandmother of 26 and great great grandmother of 2 and loving aunt of Janet Kassakatis, June Wolski and June’s husband Tony.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Bonnie and sister, Gertrude Bizarri.

Emma was a woman ahead of her time.  She raised her children in their younger years with the help of her father, Alford Handley and grandmother, Gertrude.  She worked hard at various places to help support her family. After marrying Howard, she continued to be very active as a homemaker and mother.

Emma enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching golf, writing poetry and was a great fan of the Baltimore Orioles. After Cal Ripken reached “Ironman” status, she wrote a amusing poem in his honor. Emma also created “Weaver’s World” where she made and sold woodwork pieces. She also had fun with her family when they went bowling together.

After Howard retired, they loved to travel.
