Died Sunday morning January 21, 2018. Emma was born January 18, 1927 in Comstock, Michigan a daughter of Frank and Mable (Juhnke) Moler. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed as a Registered Nurse for 33 years before retiring. Emma was also a member of the Galesburg/Comstock United Methodist Church and volunteered at the Comstock Community Center. She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Everett Dowdy Jr. on January 8, 1982; and 3 brothers, Warren, Harold, and Frank.
Emma is survived by 5 children, Alan Dowdy, Karen Dowdy, Greg (June) Dowdy, and Mark (Dee) Dowdy all of Kalamazoo, and Curtis Dowdy of Amery, WI; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
