Emily Marie Melear Kelley, 78, of Newnan, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. She was born February 24, 1936, in Coweta County to the late Marvin Lester Melear and Avis Robards Melear.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Elliott Kelley. Marie was a homemaker raising her four children until working in the family restaurant, Melear’s Barbecue, for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include children, Elliott Kelley, Jr., Emily (Charles) Lancaster, Steve Kelley, Susan (James) Brantley; grandchildren, Clayton Kelley, Lauren Lancaster, Jon Lancaster, Michael Kelley, Candice Kelley, Andrew Kelley, Wendi Kelley, Asher Brantley, and Mason Brantley.
