Emily Dabbs Sheetz, 82, of 1409 Orphanage Road, Danville, VA died Saturday, June 30, 2012 while a patient at Roanoke Carilion Memorial Hospital. Born October 4, 1929 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Jules David Dabbs and the late Nannie Swift Dabbs. She was married to Doyle S. Sheetz who preceded her in death on January 2, 2011. She was formerly employed with Dan River, Inc. as a spinner for forty-eight years and she attended the Tabernacle. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Herrin and husband, Robert of FL and Teresa S. Webb and husband, Stan of Danville; her sons, Darrell Sheetz and wife, Donna of Roanoke and Kenneth Sheetz of Danville. She is further survived by her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Dot Robinette and Betty Adcock and her brothers, Sonny Dabbs and David Dabbs.
