Mrs. Christoffersen died on Sunday, May 17, 2015, at St. Josephs Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norfolk.
Emily was born on January 15, 1916, in Norfolk, the daughter of Julius and Martha (Schimmelpfenig) Kell. She graduated from Norfolk High School.
On December 19, 1934, Emily married Dean Christoffersen in Norfolk.
Emily worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 20 years at the Norfolk Regional Center. In 1988, she moved to Hastings until moving back in 2005 when she became a resident of the Madison House in Norfolk.
Emily is survived by her son Gary and his wife, Janet Christoffersen, of Great Mills, Maryland; three grandsons: Todd Christoffersen, of Fr. Lauderdale, FL, Paul Christoffersen, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Mike Christoffersen, of Iowa City, IA; three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Steve and Keith, and three brothers and five sisters.
