Emile C. Vandemoortele 84, of Cumberland Hill RD, died Tuesday in Oakland Grove Health Centre. He was the husband of Doris (Parenteau) Vandemoortele. Mr. Vandemoortele was born in Woonsocket, the son of the late Emile and Rose (Renson) Vandemoortele. He was a WWII Navy veteran, serving in the Asiatic Pacific, and earned the WWII Victory Medal, as well as the Philippine Liberation Ribbon. Mr. Vandemoortele was a maintenance supervisor for the Commonwealth of MA for many years, and later became a quality control supervisor for Colgate retiring in 1988.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son Gary Vandemoortele and his wife Chris of Greenville, and a granddaughter Shaina Vandemoortele.
