Emerson Nix, Jr., age 68, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away Monday, February 23, 2015. He was born on January 13, 1947 in Chatsworth to the late Emerson and Edna Nix.
He was a faithful member of Central Community Church in Chatsworth. Jr. was proud to have served for his country in the United States Army. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin Nix and William Nix; sisters, Joyce Cochran and Fannie Hampton.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Nix of Chatsworth; son, Brian Nix of Chatsworth; daughter, Kimberly “Kimmy” Nix Duncan of Chatsworth; son-in-law, Bradley Duncan of Chatsworth; daughters of the heart, Heather Ingle, Heather Ridley, Suzanne Mitchell and Tara Roberts; brothers, Jerry Don Nix of Chatsworth and Alvin Nix of Chatsworth; granddaughter, Addy Mae Duncan.
