Emanuel Young Jr. was born May 24th, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel (Elvera) Young, Sr.
His parents would lead him to Christ at an early age, and he would go on to embrace ‘The Spiritual way of life’ his entire life.
Emanuel attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School in Chicago. He then attended and graduated from The University Of Illinois at Champaign Urbana, earning a degree in Graphic design. He was the first Black American to graduate from the U Of I with this specialized degree and with a minor in Film.
From there, he pursued a career in Aerospace design, first working for the Lockheed Martin Corporation, an American aerospace, arms, defense company. He then moved onto the Boeing Company as a Senior Graphic designer for nearly 40 years. Boeing is an American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, rockets, and satellites worldwide.
Emanuel (Manny) was called home to be with our Lord on Friday, October 28th, 2022.
Emanuel leaves to cherish his fond memories: A brother, Kirk, a son, Christian: a host of cousins, devoted relatives and many friends.
