Elza G. West, 90, of Franklin passed away peacefully on December 17, 2017. He was born on March 17, 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Elza and Anna (Matthews) West. On August 21, 1944 he married Orpha Blythe and she precedes him in passing. Elza served in the United States Navy. Elza was employed with IPS for over 20 years, working in grounds and carpentry.
Elza is survived by his children Wallen (Deborah) West, E. Kevin (Wanda) West, Sharon (Charles) Meloche; daughter-in-law Veleda West; grandchildren Traci West, Jennifer (Andre) Urquidez, Valeri (Jason) Walker, Jason (Azure) west, Katrina (Jeremy) Quillen, Steffani (Tim) White, William (Kimberly) West, Samantha (Travis) Rose, Jodie Meloche; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in passing by his parents; wife Orpha; son William West and brothers Donald and Jerry West.
The family thanks the many caregivers who helped Elza over the years, in particular Bonnie, Joy, and Marsha from Home Instead Senior Care.
