Elvis was the eight of nine children born to the union of the late Rollins and Elease Rodgers Brackins on October 27, 1957 in Lawrence County, Alabama. He departed this life on Friday, January 9, 2015 at his residence after battling an untimely illness.
Elvis confessed his hope in Christ at an early age and joined Oakville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: a son, Steven McDaniel; siblings, Bertha Nell, Norman Rayford, Barbara Ann and Roger Gene Brackins.
Elvis leaves to cherish his loving memory: four children, Stephanie (Brandon) Fugate, Shamay, Lauren and Ryan Brackins all of Decatur, mother of his children, Vicki Brown; granddaughter, Chloe Fugate; siblings, Delrae (Charlotte) Brackins of Trinity, Kenneth Brackins, Flozell Brackins both of Decatur, Brenda Sue Orr of Hartselle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
