Elvera “Vera” Kennedy, 78 of Milford, formerly of Orange, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Milford Hospital. Born on December 31, 1932 in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Filomena D’Auria Napoli. She was the wife of the late Robert P. Kennedy, Sr.
Vera was a loving mother and grandmother, always making special ceramic gifts for her beloved grandkids. She was also known for her love of UCONN Basketball, and especially Elvis.
Vera is survived by her children, Robert P. Kennedy, Jr. and Margaret Mercado of Bronx, NY, Kathleen K. Huber and her husband Raymond of Milford, Carol L. Benson and her husband William of Bel Air, MD and Patricia J. Tyler and her husband Michael of Hamden; eleven grandchildren, Ashley, Steven, Nicole and Alexis Kennedy, Rebecca and Brett Huber, Jessica Benson and William Benson, III, Lindsay, Emily and Michael Tyler.
In addition to her husband and parents, Vera was predeceased by her brother, Michael Napoli.
The family would like give a special thanks to all of the staff at Carriage Green for all of their compassion while caring for Vera.
