On September 29, 2021, Elsie Marie Nalepa, loving mother and grandmother, was called home to the loving arms of Jesus, surrounded by her family. She was born September 3, 1927, in St. Clair, Michigan, the daughter of Goldie and Russell Barney.

She is survived, and will be greatly missed by sons, David J. Nalepa, Daniel A Nalepa and Craig M. Nalepa; daughters, Linda M. Smith (Gary), Cynthia Holzberger (Don), Sandra Maveety (David), Carol Beach (Terry) and Brenda Ely (Charles); 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and sister, Beulah Mowery. Elsie leaves a legacy of 83 family members.

Elsie loved the Lord; her life was an example of spreading His love to everyone she met. She attended St. Luke was involved in the Auxiliary, and Outreach Program. She was a homemaker goddess. Among her many talents, she was a wonderful caregiver, fantastic cook and pastry chef, a great gardener, and an avid exerciser, just to mention a few. Her legacy is also her love of children, especially remembered for teaching all her children and grandchildren to swim.

The family is very thankful to Allegro and Sea Grass for the wonderful care given to Ms. Elsie. A special thanks to Vitas for the loving care given to our Mom and being there for us as our mother passed peacefully.
