Born May 11, 1925, in Minneapolis, Minn., she was the daughter of John and Selma Swanson Larson. She was married Dec. 5, 1942, in Minneapolis, to Raymond A. Olson, who died April 20, 2006.
Elsie retired as an office manager for the JCPenney Company in Logansport, where she began her employment in 1964.
An avid golfer and bowler, she also loved to play cards.
In earlier years, she was a member of the Logansport Elkettes and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, John and Joni Olson, Brownstown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Kevin Rose, Reno, Nev., and Linda and Steve Pearson, Logansport; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
One sister, Helen Larson, preceded in death.
