Elsie M. Duckworth, 86, of Washington, IL, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Washington Senior Living with her family by her side.
On October 21, 1934, she was born in Thompsonville, IL, the daughter of Bert and Rena Lance Gunter. She married Jearldene Duckworth on October 28, 1949, and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters Alice (Bill) Siebenthal of Bartonville, IL and Mary (Marty) DeVault of Erie, IL, one daughter in law Christine Duckworth of Washington, IL. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Further surviving are three brothers Paul (Judy) Gunter of Edwards, IL; Lloyd (Lenay) Gunter of Peoria and Virgil (Shirley) Gunter of Ziegler, IL; one sister Louise Hamby of Brimfield, IL. Her parents, one son Jerry, one great grandson, Tyler DeVault, three brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death.
She worked at the Christian Restmor, Morton, in the kitchen and housekeeping for many years. Elsie was a Demo Lady for the Krogers Stores in the Peoria area and was a volunteer at Creve Coeur Christian School in Creve Coeur, IL.
