Elsie Louise Waterman was born in Caldwell, Idaho on November 16, 1931 to William and Orabelle Brock. She passed on March 4, 2012 at St. Alphonsus hospital in Nampa, Idaho.

Elsie grew up in Caldwell and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1949. After graduating from high school she continued her education at the St. Luke’s Nursing program. Elsie married Dallas L. Waterman on February 26, 1952. A son, Neil, was born on February 25, 1953 and a daughter, ReNae, was born on December 6, 1954.

Elsie was employed at the Caldwell Medical Group as a Lab Technician in 1962. In 1964, Elsie moved to Portland, Oregon where she was employed as an Office Nurse and Lab Technician for Dr. Thelma. Elsie loved working with Dr. Thelma. Elsie moved back to Caldwell in 1988 and lived in Caldwell until her passing.

Elsie was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who often expressed herself through poetry over the years.

Elsie was preceded in death by her father, William, and her mother, Orabelle.  

Surviving Elsie is her son, Neil (Connie) Waterman of Caldwell and her daughter, ReNae Waterman (Mark Griffin) of Caldwell. Elsie has two sisters, Donna (Urban) Roth of Montana, Faye (Phil) Guay of Florida and a brother, Ron (Lynda) Evans of Montana. Grandchildren are Josh Waterman of Anchorage, AK, Hilary Hall of Boise, and four great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Elsie’s kind and loving caregivers, Tierra Hopper, Gayle Westfall, Ally Deitrick, Megan Blake, Melissa Justesen and Diane Winters.
