Elsie Louise Bohanan, 94, former resident of Valley, AL. died on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at West Georgia Hospice, LaGrange GA.
She was born on August 22, 1921 in LaGrange, Troup County, GA to George Lee Langford and Annie Lou Thompson Langford. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Charles F. Bohanan; and two sons, Charles Anthony Bohanan and Charles Lee Bohanan and three brothers.
She was employed for many years in the textile industry in Shawmut AL.
Mrs. Bohanan was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Shawmut for 75 years where she served as a teacher and in other leadership roles. One of her greatest joys was supporting her husband in his ministry as he pastored numerous churches in the East Liberty Baptist Association.
Mrs.. Bohanan is survived by her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Bohanan, LaGrange GA; three sisters, Lovine Perdue, Ruth (Mrs. Billy) Williams of LaGrange, GA and Virginia Roberts of Columbus, Ga and sister-in-law, Susan Langford, LaGrange GA and several nieces and nephews.
