Elsie L. McCarron, 96, of Peoria, formerly of Galesburg died at 10:34 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2017, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Elsie was born November 5, 1920, in Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Thomas and Ida Cote McCarron. She married Charles McCarron on September 10, 1960, in Quebec, Canada.
He preceded her in death on February 28, 1992. While living in Canada, Elsie served in the Canadian Navy.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Family Church in Peoria, as well as a past member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Churches in Galesburg.
