Elsie Marie (Johnson) Boutch, age 103, a resident of Farmersville, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Friday, November 19, 2021 at her home. Elsie was born August 4, 1918 in the hill country of Arkansas northwest of Hot Springs in a community called Northfork. She later went to school in a community called Central and later in Jessieville, AR. Her and her siblings walked to school and enjoyed the primitive one room school houses. The family farmed the land for a living having farm animals and crops. Elsie often mentioned her upbringing of learning how to work hard, even plowing with the horses and mules at a young age. She has often said, despite the hard work there was a lot of love, laughter and music. As her mother taught her and her siblings how to sing four part harmony when they were very small.

Through the years Elsie’s hobbies have been gardening, canning jelly, soup, vegetables, salsa and peaches so she could give it away to friends and neighbors. She has also loved singing with her sisters (The Johnson Sisters), and witnessing to others about the happiness, joy and peace that only comes living for Jesus.

Elsie is survived by Sister Joyce Womack, many nieces, nephews and close friends. Elsie is preceded in death by her Husband Chuck Boutch, Father and Mother J.D. and Mattie Johnson, sisters Ann Taff, Bertha Stratton, Maudin Heaton, and Brother Bill Johnson.
