Anderson – Elsie Faye Prentice Veatch, 87, Anderson, died August 19, 2002 at her residence after a lengthily illness. She was born June 27, 1915 in Elnora, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. In 1933, she moved to Anderson from Southern Indiana.
She retired in 1982 from the City of Anderson Central Service after 10 years of service. She was a member of the Women’s Democrat Organization and was ”Democrat of the Year 2000” of the Roosevelt Kennedy Club.
She was a member of Navy Mothers and the American Legion. She is survived by her One Son: Donald R. & wife Dottie Phillippe of Anderson. Two Granddaughters: Amy Phillippe Kosterman & husband Matthew of River Forest, Illinois. Debra Miller of Chandler, Arizona. One Grandson: Dean Miller & wife Carol of Anderson. Three Great Grandchildren: Marquerite Kosterman, Nathan Miller and Abby Miller. Four Sisters: Marcella Freund of Anderson. Virginia Shahoia of Lake Port, California. Betty McCoy of Burbank, California. Phyllis Asher of Florida. One Brother: Max Prentice of Cove, Texas. Many Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Jacob & Hettie Simpson Prentice.
