Pastor Elois C. Kelly was born on February 13, 1948 to the late Emma and Lewis Cohen.  On Thursday, November 13, 2014, God saw that his angel’s work on earth was complete and he called her home.

A native of Hampton County, Pastor Kelly accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age.  She was educated in Hampton County Public Schools and attended Mather College in Beaufort and later attended Morris College in Sumter, SC where she received her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. She pursued and obtained a degree in Biblical Studies from Friends International Christian University and subsequently a Masters degree in Church Administration from the same institution.

Certified in Special Education, Pastor Kelly taught in Hampton School District for more than 17 years.

Pastor Kelly was Pastor and Founder of Miracle Faith Temple United Church of God.

Upon starting the ministry, Pastor Kelly needed a name for the church.  As always, she went to God in prayer and asked God what name should she give the ministry.  God answered and said, “The ministry’s name will be Miracle Faith Temple because miracles by faith will be performed in the temple; thus Miracle Faith Temple was born!

From a store front to a megachurch, Pastor Kelly blessed the lives of thousands around the world by praying and healing them through God’s mercy and by healing the sick, feeding the hungry, mending the broken and inspiring the hopeless.  Through God’s grace, she possessed the patience of Job and her loving and generous heart was always open to her children, grandchildren, extended family, friends, church members, and even total strangers.

Pastor Kelly was atrue and faithful servant.  She dedicated her life, talents and energies to her church and the faithful members who attended.

Pastor Kelly will be sadly missed.  She leaves in this world to cherish her beautiful memories, her husband, Deacon William Kelly; a loving and devoted sister and right hand, Elder Louise Conner along with her husband Deacon Don Conner; three daughters, Talicia Scriven; Tawanica Devine and Jasmine Lois Kelly; one son, Moses Bailey; a loving and devoted niece and Goddaughter, Tarsheika Conner; two loving and devoted nephews, Don Lawrence Conner and Ron (Adrienne) Conner; and a host of sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, extended family members, church family members and friends.
