Elmina “Minie” Shearer, 71, of Dunlap, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Grand View Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Peoria.
Minie was born on July 31, 1950, in New Orleans, LA, a daughter of Donald and Geraldine (Reeks) Rauhaus. She married Michael Shearer on March 12, 1977, in Mossville. He survives.
She is also survived by her children, Robert T. Camper of Dunlap and Heather (Justin) Crawford of East Peoria; siblings, Keith (Kathy) Rauhaus of Missouri and Mike (Sue) Rauhaus, Gregory (Martha) Reeks, April (Johnny) Hebert, Michelle Crowson and Coy Reeks, all of Louisiana; and grandchildren, Adam and Rebecca Bundren.
Minie was preceded by in death by her parents, siblings, Sharon Thibodaux and Sheila Dautrex and grandson, Brandon Michael Shearer.
She worked for 25 years as a parts clerk at Riverside Chevrolet in Chillicothe. She then went to work at Walter Brothers Harley Davidson for eight years. She volunteered for many Susan G. Komen events, after defeating breast cancer.
