Details: Elmer Edwin Walker, 81, a lifelong resident of Brooklyn Park died on June 7, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Walker was born on May 26, 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Elmer and Ella Marie Walker. He was a manager of Airo & Electronic Systems for Westinghouse BWI until he retired from in 1987 after 35 years of service. Mr. Walker also served in the Merchant Marines from 1942-1945. His hobbies included model building, woodworking and carpentry. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth A. Walker, his son Dennis J. Walker of Glen Burnie, his daughters Rosemarie E. Tate of Edgewater and Christine E. Jenkins of Brooklyn Park, his brother Thomas Walker of Maryland, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Mr. Walker is preceded in death by his son Robert E. Walker, his brothers William and Robert Walker, and his two step sisters Gladys and Sophie.
