E. Edward Sierp, 78, of Edinburgh, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019. He was born to Russell and Virginia (Tyler) Sierp on October 5, 1940 in Zenas, Indiana.
Ed married Darlene (Smith) Sierp on August 18, 1976, she survives. He worked as a Senior Systems Analyst at Eli Lily for 33 years, retiring in 1994. Ed was a member of the Masonic Order, the Scottish Rite, and the Sahara Grotto. He enjoyed fishing and mowing grass. He also spent time painting saw blades and canvases. Ed was a loving husband, father, papaw, pa, and grandpa.
Besides his wife, Ed is survived by his children, Donna (Ted) Mann of Covington, Steve Sierp of Edinburgh, Susan Graham of Orlando, Florida, Debra (Brian) Faber of Mancelona, Michigan, Eric Sierp of Avon, Ron (Dina) Gill of Indianapolis, Penny (Jesse) Dupree of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Randy (Tammy) Gill of Indianapolis; his three sisters, Cecilia (Tom) Barry of Rutledge, Tennessee, Mary Ann Harmon of Bedford, Kentucky, and Cynthia Nesbitt of Connersville, Indiana; his one brother, Marion Sierp of Tennessee; 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Virginia (Tyler) Sierp; two grandchildren, Justin and Brock Sierp; and two brothers-in-law, Norman Harmon and Dr. William Nesbitt.
