Ellis Burnham Wright, 72, passed away on July 19, 2007 at his home in Boles Acres. He was born on July 17, 1935 in Laural, Mississippi to Willie R. and Otzie Rea (Anderson) Wright.
Ellis was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He lived in the Alamogordo area for 25 years. He was a member of the DAV and VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy L. (Jones) Wright of the family home; three daughters, Melody Rayhart, Lyric Stephens, Bunny Mills; two grandchildren, Lawrence O’Connor and Samantha White; four great great grandchildren, Dallas O’Connor, Cassidy O’Connor, Harley White, and Sheyenne White; one sister, Evelyn Holcombe and her husband Bill; and two brothers, Harold E. Wright and Joseph L. Wright.
He was preceded in death by, brother, William E, Jack R. Sidney G., George C. and James D. Wright.
