Mr. Elliott P. “E.P.” Miller, age 89, beloved husband of Janice (Stevens) Miller of Milford, died after a long fight with Alzheimer’s Disease on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at his home. Born on August 18, 1920 in Hartford to the late Ernest Ward and Sophie (Hathorne) Miller, he was a resident of Milford for 52 years. He graduated from high school in Gorham, ME and attended Tilton Junior College in Tilton, NH. Mr. Miller had been a Radio Announcer in Hartford, for WDRC and WTHT, for ten years before moving to Milford. He was a Naval Aviator in WW II and an active pilot after returning to civilian life. He was founder of Connecticut Campers Center of Milford and founder and owner of the Milford Insurance Agency until his retirement in 1997. He was formerly President of the Professional Insurance Agents of CT and served on the board of directors of the Professional Insurance Agents of New England for 12 years. In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Jane Ehorn and her husband Robert of Orange, three granddaughters, Marcia, Carrie, and Janice, all of Orange and two nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by a daughter, Marcia Ruth Miller and a brother and his wife, Loring E. and Barbara Stevens Miller.
