Elliott A. Smith, 72, of Bristol, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2008, at Bristol Hospital.
He was born October 25, 1936 in Rockville, son of the late William and Grace (Knott) Smith. A longtime resident of Bristol, Elliott was employed at the Aetna Life and Casualty for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Frederick-Franklin Lodge #14 in Plainville.
He is survived by his four children, Donna Rose Smith of Woodbury, Becky Weavill and her husband, David of Waldorf, MD, Elizabeth Smith-Fries and her husband John of Southington, and William Trotta-Smith and his wife, Susan of Southington; his ten grandchildren, Vickie, Jackie, Nate and Ginny Weavill, Haley and Ian Smith-Fries, Chloe, Tessa, Teo, and Deva Trotta-Smith; and his sister, Joan Lindell of Dunnellon, FL. He was predeceased by his former wife, Doris Smith.
