Ellen Sue Aderholtz, of Medora, passed away on the night of September 23, 2022 at Hoosier Christian Village surrounded by her loving family. She was 78.

Sue entered this life on November 16, 1943 in Seymour, Indiana. She was the first born to parents of Harold and Oguerita (Burge) McKinney and was the older sister to Judith and Dennis.  She grew up in Sparksville and was a graduate of Medora Community Schools, Class of 1961.

Sue loved playing the piano and would rarely pass on the opportunity to play her keys.

She was a loving mother and grandma. She worked at Cummins Engines in Columbus until her retirement in 2008.  Sue was also a traveler. During her lifetime she managed to travel to 49 of the 50 states of our great nation. The only one she didn’t make it to was South Dakota.  Her travels would extend on beyond the U.S. onto to cruises to the Caribbean Islands and trips overseas to different countries in Europe.

Sue also loved playing the game of bridge. She also enjoyed learning card games.

She leaves a memories to be cherished by her family, mother, Oguerita McKinney of Brownstown, a daughter Ronda Boles and her husband Brian of Brownstown, a grandson Zachary Boles of Brownstown, sister Judith Allman of Indianapolis, brother Dennis McKinney and his significant other Barbara Embry of New Palestine, and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Sue’s life will be conducted at on October 23, 2022, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at the Medora Conservation Club.
