Ellen Ruth Lewis Rudisill, 90, of Matthews died July 10, 2016 after a short illness. She was born
May 27, 1926 to the late H. R. Lewis and Monnie Ridenhour Lewis of Asheville, NC. She
graduated from Brevard College and High Point College, majoring in music and Christian
education. She married the late Rev. George W. Rudisill in 1949 and was a faithful partner in the
role of minister’s wife and homemaker for the 64 years they were married. She is survived by
her son Jeffrey Rudisill (Nancy), daughter Rebecca Haynes, grandsons Jacob and Jason
Haynes and many nieces and nephews.
