SHANK, Ellen M. of Midland, Michigan, formerly of Carrollton passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 64 years old. Ellen M. Shank was born on July 23, 1949 in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Warren C. and Ida (Westendorf) Shank. She worked for over 10 years at LMS in Midland. Ellen loved and was fascinated by the grace and elegance of horses, especially wild horses. She was a free spirit and enjoyed fishing, baking and making fudge. Ellen was also captivated by anything related to Disney. She had a beautiful spirit and a wonderful sense of humor.
Surviving are a sister, Alice L. Maxwell; brother, George W. Shank and his fiancé Stacey; three nieces and one nephew: Paula J. Forbes, Richard H. Forbes, Jr., Dawn L. (Scott) Lutz, Jane D. (Eric) Neering.
