Ellen I. Pochert Age 78 of Midland formerly of Owosso passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Midland King’s Daughters Home.A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Oak Hill with Pastor Ray Strawser officiating. Ellen was the daughter of Dr. R.C. and Edith (Burgeson) Pochert born in Owosso, MI on September 10, 1935.She was a life long R.N.; retiring from Johnson Control as an industrial nurse. Ellen receivedcommendations in her nursing career working in pediatrics and industrial.Ellen enjoyed skiing and traveling, especially trips to Australia, Europe and China.Ellen is survived by her brother Dr. Darl (Marjorie) Pochert; nieces and nephews Dr. James Pochert of Kentwood, Kim (Frank) Mannarino of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, Diane Richards of Santa Clara, California, Bonnie Pochert of Midland, Kathy (Ken) Davies of Utica, Darl (Lisa) Pochert of Park Ridge,Illinois, Vicky (Joe) Hofer of Clinton Township, Rebecca (Larry) Gezon of Zeeland, Dana (Sue) Richards of Lompoc, California, Ron (Melinda) Richards of Sacramento, California and Linda (Dennis) Parisian of Howell; 18 grand nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her parents Dr. R.C. and Edith Pochert, sisters Janet Gray and Rita Richards.The family wishes to express a special thank you to Midland King’s Daughters Home and HartlandHospice for the loving care they gave Ellen.Memorial contributions are suggested to Midland King’s Daughters Home or Hartland Hospice.Online condolences may be sent to the family at Nelson-House.com.
