Ellen E. Donchez, 84, a life long resident of Fountain Hill, died Saturday, May 28, 2011, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. She was the loving wife of the late Charles Donchez, who died Feb. 1, 1980. Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Esther (Eck) Malone. Ellen was a 1945 graduate of Fountain Hill High School and a 1947 graduate of Bethlehem Business College. She worked in the judicial system of Lehigh County for 31 years. She was secretary in the District Court covering Salisbury Twp. and Fountain Hill for William Laubach, William DeWalt, William Burdette and Anthony Rapp, until retiring in 1989. Ellen was a volunteer for the American Heart Association and was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fountain Hill. Ellen was also member of the Fountain Hill Golden Hillers and the Lehigh County Retired Employees Assoc. Survivors: she will be lovingly remembered by her son Charles T. Donchez and his wife Beth of Hellertown; grandchildren Jonathan and Lauren, and four legged grand dog Ozzy.
