Ellen Drago Wright, 99, died peacefully in Delray Beach, Florida. Mrs. Wright was born in New York City in 1920, daughter of Mario and Luisa Fasana, and was raised in Rye and Harrison, NY attending Harrison High School. During World War II, Ellen met her husband, Charles Richard Drago. They raised their family in White Plains, NY. While Charles built houses, Ellen founded Drago Realtors, a pioneer woman owned Real Estate business to initially sell the homes Charles had built. Ellen grew and expanded the business in which she ran for more than thirty years.

Ellen was well known for helping her clients to buy their dream homes. This included providing Mortgages herself directly to her clients-many who remained lifelong friends. Even after passing the business to her son, Ellen remained active in the Real Estate market well into her nineties. Following the death of Charles, Ellen married Thomas Sydney Wright whom she was married happily to until his passing. Ellen split her time between White Plains, NY, Delray Beach, FL and Westerly, RI with her family. She also spent a lot of time with her friends at her beloved Westchester Country Club. Ellen loved to travel to Cernobbio, Italy (on Lake Como), her family’s hometown, to spend time with the multitudes of cousins. Ellen single-handedly reconnected and maintained relationships with literally hundreds of cousins.

Ellen is mourned by her children and their spouses: Stephen Drago, Riva and Jonathan Schmid. She leaves behind two grandchildren: Lindsey and Andrew Schmid. She is survived by her sister Gloria. She was predeceased by her husband Charles and her husband Thomas. She was also predeceased by her sisters Virginia, Alice and Mary.
