Ellen Dais (Jefferson) was born on February 23, 1938 in Ridgeway, South Carolina from the union of the late Valentine Jefferson and Jannie Jefferson. Ellen met the late Franklin Deas and they were united in Holy Matrimony.
Ellen had three children; Franklin Jr., Calvin and Shirley Ann before relocating to Brooklyn, NY in 1961. Ellen then gave birth to four more children; Ellen Michelle, Grace, Vera and Louise. Ellen also legally adopted two of her grandchildren; Janiquwa and Clayton.
The Lord called Ellen Dais home on Saturday, August 26, 2017 as she was surround by some of her loved ones.
Ellen leaves to mourn her sons Franklin Deas, Jr., Calvin J. Dais, Clayton Dais, Daughters Shirley Dais, Ellen Michelle Dais, Grace Dais, Vera Dais, Louise Dais and Janiquwa Dais, 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, sister Estella Smith, brother in law Wesley Dias, sisters in law Pat Dias and Gracie Dais, Friend Vivan Franks Many nephews and nieces, cousins and friends.
Ellen Dais will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, guardian and as a beautiful woman inside and out. She brought joy and compassion to those around her and she will be truly missed.
