Ellen A. Caiafa, 79, of Hamden died peacefully at home Feb. 23, 2012 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the wife of Biagio Caiafa for 56 years. Born on Feb. 17, 1933 and raised in the Fair Haven section of New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Generoso and Antoinetta Sicignano Guida. She was a graduate of BoardmanTrade School and worked for many years as a seamstress. An active member of St.
