Ella Rossing, age 97, of Livermore, passed away on December 6, 2019 in hospice care in Johnston, Iowa. Ella Ione Rossing was born September 20, 1922, to Theophil and Edna (Parsons) Harr on a farm near Irvington, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Irvington Presbyterian Church. She attended country schools, graduating at the age of 16 from Algona High School in 1939. After attending cosmetology school, she was employed at Ferguson Barber and Beauty Shops in Livermore. On July 16, 1943, she was united in marriage at First Presbyterian Church of Algona to Dr. T.D. Rossing of Bode for 63 years. After WWII years in Texas, they returned to Livermore where he established his veterinary practice. In 1949, Ella joined St. Olaf Lutheran Church of Bode. She was a 35 year member of Order of Eastern Star. Her other interests were street dancing with Doc to Lawrence Welk Big Band Music, cooking, baking, sewing, visiting the library, church activities, gardening, flowers, bowling, bridge and always friends and family. Left to cherish Ella’s memory are her daughters, Trudy (Terry) Neufind of Omaha, Nebraska and Deb (John) Blanchard of Johnston; five grandchildren, Erin (Rick) Heisler of Papillion, Nebraska, Nate (Nicole) Neufind of Omaha, Nebraska, Beau (Joanna) Blanchard of Norwalk, Bob (Jill) Blanchard of Big Lake, Minnesota and Billie (Darrell) Inskeep of Bettendorf; eight great grandchildren, Reagan and Alexis Neufind, Luke and Beth Heisler, Peyton and Reese Inskeep, Beckham Blanchard, Faith Blanchard and a great grandson coming in March; two nieces and a nephew.
