Ella Geneva Flora Owens, 90, of Versailles formerly of Flemingsburg passed away Friday March 28, 2014 at Willows of Hamburg in Lexington, KY after a brief illness.
Geneva was born July 31, 1923 in Bath County to the late George W. and Mary Lynam Flora.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband Jack Cooper Owens, her parents, sister Ruby Jolly; brothers Estell, Paul, Clyde, & Morgan Flora.
Survivors include her children Lu Ann (Larry) Hawkins of Lexington and Jackie (Rick) Aitkin of Versailles, KY; grandchildren Jan (Tony) Rankin of Versailles, Todd Hawkins, Kristen Aitkin and Chase Aitkin all of Lexington, and Richie (Ashley) Aitkin of Alpharetta GA; great grandchildren Lauren Rankin, Brandon Rankin, Hunter Aitkin, and Trey Aitkin; siblings Fred (Eula) Flora and Lela Mae (Jewell) Call of Hillsboro and Tommie Flora of Denver, CO; several nieces nephews and cousins.
