Ella Frances Elbert, age 92, of Algona, died on Sunday January 25, 2015 at the Kossuth Regional Health Care Center in Algona. Ella Frances Elbert, the daughter of Ray and Dorothy (Hennings) Sankey, was born on April 23, 1922 in Burt, Iowa. On January 3, 1946 Ella was united in marriage with Rudolph Andrew Elbert at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church in Algona. She was a member of St. Cecelia’s and the Wesley American Legion Auxiliary. Ella enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and visiting with friends and family. Ella is survived by a daughter, Joella (John) Leider of Wesley; two grandchildren, Kyler Leider and Erika Elbert; one great granddaughter, Alyana Julius; four sisters, Hazel Bleich, Pauline Merk, Margaret Sankey and Nellie Hauenstein all of Algona; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Delbert, Robert Raymond Sankey and Ted Hennings.
