Elizaveta Ervandovna Aroutiounova, 88 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on her birthday on 12/5/2022 while rehabilitating from a hit and run accident at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana. Born to Ervand Gasoian and Ashkhen Avakian on 12/5/1934 in Nakhchivan, Elizaveta was a devoted wife to Sedrak Levonovich Aroutiounov married in November of 1954 and passionate mother to Viacheslav, Ashot and Inna. While in Georgia, Elizaveta earned a bachelor’s degree in Armenian literature.
Liza, as she was known by her close friends, loved gardening, cooking (especially baking), crocheting, walking in botanical gardens, teaching, homemaking, traveling internationally and helping her children. She had an acute sense of fashion and a strong appreciation for the arts. Liza truly cared about people. In her later years she kept a close group of friends both at her residence at Greenbriar and her weekly club at Second Family. She also took pride in helping to raise her grand-children and great grand-children. There is countless lives Liza touched that will continue to cherish the memories of her for many life times.
Liza leaves behind her son Viacheslav, his wife Aida, their son Ashot and his wife Angelina and their two children Robert and Slavik. She also leaves behind her son Ashot, his wife Oxana, and his daughter Amy and their son Seto. Liza also leaves behind her daughter Inna, her husband Michael, their daughter Anna and son Jordan and Anna’s daughter Clara. In addition, she leaves behind several nieces and nephews throughout multiple countries.
