Elizabeth V. Hayner (nee Major) of Burlington City, died Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Marcella Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Burlington Township at the age of 81. Born in Moorestown, NJ., on January 22, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Clarence & Elizabeth Major. Employed by the Hercules Ammunitions Plant in Burlington for many years Elizabeth was also a member of the Burlington Elks Lady’s Auxiliary.
In her spare time she enjoyed watching professional wrestling and roller derby on television. Predeceased by her husband Edward J. Hayner and her granddaughter Victoria Mohr, she is survived by her son George C. Jackamonis and wife Charleen, her daughter Cammi Littleford and husband Raymond, her sister Delores Penrose, her brother Courtland Major and wife Ann and her sister in law Alma Major.
Elizabeth is also survived by her five grandchildren: Allison Schyuler, Tammi McNeal, Margaret Yousef, Helen Eberling and Andrew Mohr, 13 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and the “Beagle Brigade”; Bart, Buddy, Sam, Sadie and Rascal.
