PASEK, Elizabeth, Jane (Betsy), 89, longtime resident of Miami, passed away on February 7, 2020. She was born January 5, 1931, in Portland, ME to Robert Bement Sturgis and Katharine Jane Pomeroy Sturgis. She moved with her mother and grandparents to Miami when she was two and remained there through her sophomore year at Ponce de Leon High School before moving to Easton, MD, where she graduated from Easton High.
She moved back to Miami several years later where she met her husband Charles (Chuck) while both were working for Traveler’s Insurance Company. They married and raised three daughters living in Cutler Bay, Palmetto Bay and Pinecrest. She earned her AA degree from Miami Dade Community College and assisted her husband at his legal practice in downtown Miami. She was then an accounting professional at Comprehensive Pensions in Coral Gables and American Bankers Insurance Group in Cutler Bay, where she retired in 1996.
Betsy is predeceased by her husband Charles John Pasek, to whom she was married for 54 years. She is survived by her brother William Dunt, daughters Susan (Bisson), Katharine (McDonald) and Carol (Ging), and her seven grandchildren.
