Elizabeth “Liz” S. Chappell-Camp, 88, of Newnan passed away Wednesday August 9, 2017 in Macon, Georgia. Elizabeth was the only child of Walter E. and Orrie C. Smith. As well as her parents, Elizabeth is predeceased by her first husband, Bob Chappell and her second husband Morgan “Pete” Camp.
Elizabeth was born in Coweta County Georgia in 1928 and lived all her life in and around Newnan. Elizabeth graduated from Newnan High School and attended Perry Business School where she learned short hand as well as book keeping. She worked for 13 years with Fisher Insurance and then with Westin Homes before becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed working in her yard as well as cooking for friends and family. Elizabeth was a lifelong member of Mills Chapel Baptist Church in Newnan.
Surviving Elizabeth is her son, Robert “Bobby” Chappell along with his girlfriend; JulieAnn Bryant. Sister-in-law, Manor Lou Chappell; step grandchildren Austin (Savannah) Whitaker and Marina (K.C.) Buck; step great grandchild Kevin Buck Jr.
