Elizabeth M. “Betts” Roeder, 84, of Quakertown, died Thurs, Dec. 1, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of the late George H. Roeder, Sr. Born in Palo Alto, she was a daughter of the late William and Olive (Shadel) Falls. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Applebachsville; and participated with the Thursday night Quaker Bowlerettes for 20 years. Surviving: son; William D. and wife Nikki, Fountain, CO; daughters Edna Shearer, husband Raymond; Beth “Becky” Gardner, husband Chuck, all of Quakertown; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Ralph, wife Carolyn, Pottsville; son-in-law, Norman Diehl. She was predeceased by son, George H. II; daughter Linda, a sister and four brothers.
