Elizabeth Recie Charlena Herroon- Rowe, beloved daughter of Norman and Kelly Rowe Jr., was welcomed into heaven on Tuesday May 11th, 2021. She was born in Lagrange, Georgia on July 22, 1983 & baptized in West Virginia in 1994.
Elizabeth attended Kindergarten in Kaiserslautern, West Germany before moving to Luthersville, Ga. While in school, she was crowned Miss Valentine Queen and, in the same year, succeeded in raising the most money for the PTO. Elizabeth was a cheerleader and majorette. Her ability to toss her baton higher than any of her teammates won her the lead position on her team. In 2000, she moved to Tallahassee and attended Chiles High for a short time. Elizabeth loved children and followed that passion into a career as a Certified Child Care Teacher and nanny, where she was adored by her students and their parents. She talked often of her “kids” with excitement and remembered fondly even the smallest of details concerning them. She was caregiver to both her parents at the time of her passing.
Elizabeth had a servant’s heart. She was the first to offer help or meet a need and was quick to remind you that “God’s in control.” Known for her generosity of heart, she always had kind words to give out. She was quick to forgive and loved others with a purity and a sincerity that was admired by many. Elizabeth adored animals, with a special affinity for dogs. Attempting to rescue every abandoned or unwanted pup, she sacrificed so much of herself for her “pack.”
Elizabeth enjoyed everything outdoors, from mud bogging in Perry, to bonfires in the woods, and hunting with friends and family, if only to take photos of the morning and the wildlife. She had a passion for photography and nature. As a little girl visiting West Virginia, she would go up on the mountain as the butterflies rested, spinning and giggling in their midst until they rose in a swirl around her. She absolutely loved it when they landed on her and kept a love for butterflies throughout her life.
Elizabeth appreciated music and liked concerts in small venues, as well as singing to her students. She had a diverse collection of music and was always excited to acquire a new music CD. In addition, Elizabeth loved all things pink camouflage and ball caps were always a wardrobe staple, along with her flip flops. More than anything, she loved having a relationship with Jesus and relied on Him daily.
While we are sad for our loss, we receive comfort from knowing that Elizabeth has received her crown of life. She endured many trials and sufferings, all with patient endurance. She has received her full inheritance in Christ. Our loss is heaven’s gain and we rejoice in knowing she is now more alive than she ever was here on earth.
Elizabeth is survived by her parents Norman and Kelly Rowe Jr. of Lutherville, Ga, Sister Lisa (Chuck) Letchworth of Tallahassee FL, Sister Diana (Jeremy) Trentham of St Charles IL, Brother Eric (Bridget) Herroon of St Louis Mo. Nieces LeMegan Herroon, Kaila Marano, Taylor Letchworth, Chloe Trentham, Faith Herroon, Nephews Alexander Herroon, Charlie Letchworth, David Trentham, Aiden Trentham, Joshua Trentham, Simeon Herroon, and her dog, Bailey.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8
