Elizabeth M. “Betty” Johnson, 91, of Bethlehem, entered in to the nearer presence of her Lord, on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, while in the care of Moravian King’s Daughters Home in Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Albert S. Johnson, who passed away in 1989. Born in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late George J. Desh and Violet (Kester) King. Betty graduated from Moravian College for Women and prior to marrying Albert, she was an Executive Secretary at Bethlehem Steel. Later, she was the Secretary of the former Sawyer & Johnson Florist. Betty was a member of College Hill Moravian Church in Bethlehem, previously serving as an Elder and Sacristan. Survivors: survived by a daughter, Elizabeth A. Johnson and a son Andrew G. Johnson and his wife, Katherine all of Bethlehem; 2 granddaughters, Sarah A. Flynn and her husband, Michael and Michele E. Liberto and her husband, Christopher; 4 great-granddaughters, Sydney and Autumn Liberto and Aiden and Avery Flynn. Her son, William R. Johnson died in 1953.
