Elizabeth M. Holland Elizabeth M. Holland, 98, mother of Diana E. Ward, died on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Hancock Hall, Danbury. Mrs. Holland was born in Scotland, March 26, 1915, daughter of James and Christina (McLean) Lawson. She immigrated to the United States at the age of two, first settling in Michigan where she resided until the age of sixteen when she returned to Scotland. From 1931 to 1968, Mrs. Holland resided in Scotland where she completed her education and eventually married. Upon her return to the United States, she settled first in Pennsylvania and in 1981 became a resident of Ridgefield. She was employed by Parsons & Wittemore and later became the chief financial officer of Wildlife Artists, Inc. of Ridgefield. Mrs.
