Elizabeth “Liz” Watkins, age 59 went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2013.
The daughter of the late John and Emma (Pickens) Watkins Sr. was born on October 4, 1953, in Midland. Liz had worked at the Ashman Court Hotel in Housekeeping and as a secretary for Dittenbir Builders. She was a long-time member of the Midland Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, hunting, and gardening.
Liz is survived by a son, David (Jeannie) Butters of Midland; daughters, Penny (Tim) Prince of Sanford and Tina Butter’s and her fiance’ Kim Prince of Sanford. She will be missed by eight grandchildren, her brothers, John (Darlyn) Watkins, Victor (Dar) Watkins, Eddie (Rena) Watkins, Jesse (Mary) Watkins, Shamrock Watkins, and her sister, Mary Helen (Clifford) Braley.
