Guiher – Elizabeth “Liddy” Hart. Died August 17, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore with her two daughters in attendance. Beloved wife of James M. Guiher, and mother of Catharine Brownfield Guiher and Mrs. Deborah Guiher (Jeff) Chamblee. Born to Catharine Louise Davis and Edward Hart in Charleston, WV, October 9,1928, she was raised in Clarksburg, WV and graduated from Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA. She was an amateur singer, harpsichordist, and recorder player, passionately interested in Early Music; and during her long residence in New York, she was on the board of Art of the Early Keyboard (ARTEK) and Music Before 1800.
