Elizabeth Deeg, age 89, of Lakota, Iowa passed away on Saturday July 11, 2015 at Mercy of North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa. Elizabeth Loreta Deeg, the daughter of Lawrence and Amelia (Thorsen) Thompson, was born on July 19, 1925 in Leland, Iowa.
She graduated from Albert Lee High School in 1943. On January 29, 1944 Elizabeth was united in marriage with Wyman Deeg in California. She attended Oakton Community College from 1974 -1975 and obtained her nursing degree. Elizabeth loved her family, spending time gardening, bird watching, sewing and fixing up old homes.
She was a great realtor who bought and sold many homes in the Lakota area. Left to cherish Elizabeth’s memory is her son Jon Deeg of San Diego, California and daughter JoAnne Fairchild of Lakota; grandson Eli Fairchild of Marin County, California and great grandson Henry Fairchild of Marin County, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Amelia Thompson.
