Elizabeth “Bettie” J. Lankford, 84 of Terre Haute, passed away at 9:40 PM on Monday, June 16, 2014 in Cobblestone Crossing. She was born in Terre Haute, on July 6, 1929 to William L. Bryant and Mildred Bannon Bryant. She was the former owner of Bettie’s Bargain Shop. Bettie was preceded in death by her husband, James Lankford in May of 2013, as well as three sisters; Delores Story, Bonnie Bluher, and Mary Schoaf, a brother, Donald Bryant, and a great grandchild, Tony. She is survived by a daughter, Diana Ramey, step-son Mitchell Lankford (wife Glenda), and step-daughter Sharon Voorhees. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Rick Lewis, Randy Lewis, Terry Lankford, Robert Lankford, Don Lankford, Bobby Lankford, Wayne Cottrell, and Debbie Faris. Other survivors include her great grandchildren; Shyanna, Stephanie, Wesley, Karley, Austin, Mitchell, Brittany, Ashlea, Terrie Lee, Donnie, Laura, and Shannon, and great great grandchildren; Kamden, Damien, Kolten, Macie, and Kinley.
